4. What are the health benefits of eating jerky?
Beef jerky is naturally high in protein and low in fat and carbohydrates. Since most jerky is generally 97%-98% fat-free, you would be hard pressed to find a healthier and better-tasting snack on the market. Jerky is a healthier snack alternative than chips, cookies, or candy. Beef jerky is the perfect snack item to incorporate into any diet.

5. What is the best way to store my jerky to make sure it lasts long and keeps fresh?
Store the jerky in a sealed package at room temperature in a dry cupboard or counter area to ensure maximum freshness.

Once the jerky has been opened and vacuum package unsealed (some of our packages are NOT resealable), we suggest you put it into a resealable bag and place it in the fridge for maximum freshness!

6. I have a specific food allergy. How can I find out more information on the ingredients in the products?
A high-resolution picture of the nutritional value and ingredients is provided on most product description pages for easy access. If the ingredients are not available, you may send us an email at info@jerkyetc.com and we will send you the ingredients!

7. What is the little white bag in the beef jerky packages?
The white bag in most packages is iron oxide oxygen absorber. It is non-toxic. It helps to extend the freshness of the product. Do NOT eat it!

8. Do you charge a sales tax?
Tax laws regarding purchases made over the internet vary from State to State. For California-based companies with retail internet sites, taxes will be charged to all orders shipping to a California address, regardless of where the purchaser resides.

9. Does you ship to APO and FPO addresses?
Yes, all products on Jerkyetc.com are eligible for shipping to any APO or FPO shipping address. Jerkyetc.com always supports the men and women who serve our country and we greatly appreciate the sacrifices they make to keep the U.S.A. and American citizens safe.

10. What happens if an item is out of stock?
We receive new bags from all our suppliers multiple times a week to ensure the freshest products to our customers. We can only provide as quickly as the various farms can produce and provide us with the jerky. This means that some items will be available more frequently than others.

11My bag has pieces with white residue on it. What is it?

No, it is NOT mold. It’s salt or processing ingredients!

Think about it this way. If you dissolve a small amount of salt in a glass of water and stir, the salt appears to disappear. Now leave that glass on the counter for a while and the water will eventually evaporate, but the salt gets left behind, forming visible deposits that adhere to the inside of the glass.

Meat has mineral salts in it, which are soluble in the oils/juices of the meat. As jerky dries, moisture in the meat evaporates into the air, and the salts can no longer stay dissolved. Instead, they get left behind and may form a visible deposit on the surface of the jerky. The deposit feels like a fine white powder. It is perfectly safe for you to eat. However, if it bothers you, you can brush off the minerals, or rinse the jerky piece under water for a few seconds.

12. Do you make the jerky yourself?

No. You cannot sell your homemade jerky to the public. It must be FDA approved. We have a great relationship with all of the jerky suppliers but we leave this technical and arduous process to the experts!! We have had years of experience tasting and providing happy customers various brands and products. With this knowledge, we provide a wide range of styles, textures and flavors for our customers to try. We cannot wait for you to join the party!

If you have any further questions, please email info@jerkyetc.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can!
